Sohm Kracher Lion 2020, a 100% Grüner Veltliner from the Kracher winery in Niederösterreich.
A pale lemon color, medium intensity nose, with freshly cut hay, lemon, a bit of grapefruit, peach, pear, rosemary, and green apple aromas.
On the palate everything is also medium: acidity, body, flavour intensity and alcohol (12%). The mouth confirms all the aromas on the nose, but the green apple is definitely more noticeable, and it gives the wine a quite tart medium finish.
Overall, an expressive Grüner Veltliner, perhaps not so typical because of the prevalent tart apple flavour.
